Cardiac:
Normal -Â no pericardial effusion
Pericardial effusion suggests tamponade
Diminished ejection fraction suggest myocardial contusion
Pulmonary:
Normal - A lines
Pulmonary contusion presents with B-lines
Pulmonary:
Normal - lung sliding linear
No pleural sliding = Pneumothorax
Fluid collections above diaphragm = Hemothorax
Right Upper Quadrant
Normal scan
Free fluid in right upper quadrant
Make sure to check caudal tip of liver!
Left Upper Quadrant

Free fluid in left upper quadrant
Check between spleen and diaphragm!
